Helping out my local African restaurant with a free redesign of their menu and business card. I can't do anything about the venue space nor the interior design, but as a hole in the wall location, I can refresh and empower how other communities & individuals see the restaurant through it's food.
I imagine it's a pretty jarring endeavor to walk into another cultures staple restaurant, where most people speak french and are sure of their order, while you, ignorant of their cuisine and specialties, squint at the chalk board behind the cashier as you hear yelling coming from the kitchen, people speaking in a foreign language and long time customers going in and out seeing your unfamiliar face. This redesign is for you, the curios and unsure adventurous eater.

UPDATE:
I fucked up and started designing in hopes of surprising the owners with three free options to pick from, as I finished my designs and was heading over to pitch.. I saw that they put up new signage...FML
Regardless, I'll post my designs and the reasoning behind every decision.
